Intense Cycles manufactures extreme sports bikes, more specifically craftsman mountain bikes. Their bikes are largely manufactured within a local facility. They are committed to creating quality bikes which is why they have maintained their status as a local manufacturer, assembling and manufacturing within Temecula California and only outsourcing for a few parts of their more high-end bikes. Beyond manufacturing, they have also switched to a direct to consumer model, opting to sell and distribute their bikes directly from their website.
With the power of NetSuite not only were they able to lower manufacturing costs but also set the stage for their switch to a direct to consumer model. NetSuite enabled them to create an intuitive and sleek website that houses all of their products, allowing them to profit directly from the consumer instead of relying solely on third-party brick-and-mortar sales. Because of their switch to a direct to consumer model they were faced with managing customer questions and concerns.
